Cisco - 4y/o GELDING - $2,500

Cisco is a dark buckskin 4 y/o grade gelding.   He is about 15 hands tall.  He was lightly started under saddle as a stallion in the winter of 2007.  He has since been gelded and has just been being a horse.  He is built stocky and is cute and friendly.   He is great in a herd, leads well, loads, ties... great for the farrier (always barefoot) and vet.  Check out his sire (Tivio Leo Reed) at Flying H Ranch.  Asking $2,500

Juniper Farm is a family run breeding and training farm located  at in Shushan, NY in beautiful Washington County.  All of our horses are AQHA Registered and many are double-registered with the Foundation Quarter Horse Association.

At Juniper Farm we carefully select AQHA/Foundation mares that will cross well with our Stallion, Dusty Jack Evans (aka Black Jack), to produce correct, athletic and personable foals.

All horses are started with Natural Horsemanship techniques and are handled and used regularly.  Our methods encourage cooperation and willingness from our young stock.

Foundation Quarter Horses are traditionally bred for cutting and ranch work and our horses are no expection.  In addition to Ranch Work, horses bred and trained here have gone on to roping, trail, show/pleasure, etc.  We even have 3 horses currently in training for dressage.

Dusty Jack Evans

Dusty Jack Evans, aka "Black Jack" is the current herd sire at Juniper Farm.  Unless otherwise noted, he has fathered all of the young stock on the site.   He is about 15.1 hands tall and built, built, built!   He has the greatest temperment and is pastured with geldings and another stallion.  Black Jack is taking the year off from breeding and we are just enjoying riding him.  He is a pleasure to be around and to ride.  He is not breeding to any oustide mares at this point.
